Carers UK supports Harry’s Pledge and is committed to helping housing organisations become carer-friendly employers.

As part of your commitment through Harry’s Pledge, joining Employers for Carers, Carers UK’s employer forum, is a practical and impactful next step. 

Employers for Carers helps organisations develop and embed effective workplace policies and practices, creating a culture where carers feel recognised, valued, and supported.

Membership provides access to a comprehensive range of training, guidance and practical resources. Through the digital platform, HR and Inclusion teams and line managers are equipped with flexible tools they can use confidently to support colleagues who are balancing work with caring responsibilities. This ensures support is not only well-intentioned, but also consistent, informed, and fully integrated across the organisation.

We also provide practical resources for employees themselves, giving carers access to trusted, accurate and relevant information to help them navigate their caring responsibilities alongside work. This dual approach, supporting both the organisation and the individual, creates lasting cultural change.

The standard cost of Employers for Carers Plus membership is:

  1. £5,500 (+VAT) per annum for employers with over 1,000 employees
  2. £4,000 (+VAT) per annum for employers with fewer than 1,000 employees

However, as part of our commitment to organisations in the housing sector signed up to Harry’s Pledge, Carers UK is pleased to offer a discounted introductory rate:

  1. Over 1,000 employees: £4,500 + VAT
  2. Fewer than 1,000 employees: £3,500 + VAT
