EMH Group has signed up to Harry’s Pledge, showing its commitment to carers.

Joanne Tilley, EMH Group’s Executive Director of Corporate Services, said: “Care and support is core to our organisation’s purpose – we provide housing and care to improve opportunities for people.

“Harry’s Pledge provides an important platform for us to recognise the challenges that many people face and to work towards delivering the changes that will make a positive impact for existing and future colleagues, as well as the communities we serve.

“We are committed to promoting support for carers to external stakeholders and employees and we are proud to be signed-up to this collective campaign.

“As part of our pledge, we have introduced greater flexibility in working hours and arrangements, including guidance for line managers on measures that would help all employees, including those with caring responsibilities. For example, tailored solutions for individual staff members, carry over leave, wellbeing support and training, etc.

“In addition, we are recruiting care and support apprentices and have attracted additional Levy funding from the University Hospitals Leicester, enabling us to increase our intake, and develop a career pathway for future carers.”
