The latest organisation to sign up to Harry’s Pledge has been revealed.
The Voluntary Organisations Disability Group (VODG) is a membership body representing organisations within the voluntary sector that works alongside disabled people.
It has now added its support to the campaign, saying it aligns with its ambitions.
Dr Rhidian Hughes, Chief Executive, said: “By signing up to Harry’s Pledge, the Voluntary Organisations Disability Group is reaffirming our commitment to valuing and supporting carers in all their forms whether in the workforce or within families.
“Our members see every day the vital contribution carers make to society and the pressures they face.
“This pledge aligns with our ambition to strengthen the care workforce, better recognise unpaid carers, and champion inclusive communities, including through the design and provision of accessible, adaptable housing that enables people to live independently and well.
“The pledge marks an important step forward in our collective drive for full inclusion.”
